Yans is a place that's hard to find, tucked away inside a funny arcade in Panmure. but its worth seeking out. Egg rice rolls and steamed pork and chive buns were highlights. Pork rib noodle soup was excellent. Decor is just as you would expect for a place like this. A hidden gem of great food, and great value.
One of my favourite places to have brunch here. Cheap, amazing food, big portions and friendly staff. Must try RICE ROLLS, fried dumpling, wanton soup and stir-fry with special flavour.
They are always busy regardless of weekday or weekend so it’s better to go early or late to avoid long queues
I occasionally found this hidden food station from NZ herald news, an article about the eateries around Panmure, I was thrilled after had their steamed rice noodle, only 4days later, I came back to have their other stuff, for a person living on North Shore, it takes half an hour to travel, but it’s worth of the time because the food is rewarding, and I take away the frozen buns and fresh noodles, and the wife cake. The photo was the fried rice noodle with pork and shrimp, very large portion, I can not finish all, so much pork in it, only $11.5 really a value and delicious deal. They are going to lift up the price from April as all the cost is increasing but that won’t stop me, in contrast I’m happy they make it a profitable business so it can be sustainable, I will definitely go there whenever I could and enjoy the food, love it!
Old neighbour but Very good quality and traditional fast food. Cheap prices friendly service. Highly recommended.
Super cheap and cheerful place if you know what I mean! There is an old lady that makes rice rolls with BBQ pork or prawns with optional extra egg or tofu freshly made to order in the back corner! Make sure you get there early to avoid the queue to order! Fried rice (extra large) from $7! Rice rolls from $3.50! You can phone ahead to order as well.
